Various standards and requirements constantly demand the attention of school administrators. The health and wellness of not only students, but school staff as well, should not be left to fly under the radar. A healthier child means fewer missed school days and maximizes the opportunity for learning. And studies show that organizations offering well-managed health promotion programs for their employees experience a reduction in health care costs and stress, among other benefits. BWI offers onsite, quality programming involving interactive learning for students K-12 taught by educators and includes much of the New York State health curriculum content delivered in a new, engaging and fun format.

BWI's "Drugs or No Drugs" Reality Show for Teens
Middle school and high school students have the opportunity to experience what drugs do to your body through a very visual, high-tech display of information. This assembly makes student examine their previous, current and future decision-making related to drugs. They will hear true stories from students their age.

BWI's "Common Sense Nutrition for Kids" Program
This after-school and/or summer recreation program combines nutrition education with interactive games and fun activities for increased learning about nutrition. Kids have the opportunity to challenge their knowledge about eating foods, shopping, healthy choices and fun facts, like in the popular game entitled "Fiber Tag" which enables students to combine physical activity with learning... a definite winning pair when teaching students about common sense problem-solving surrounding food, nutrition and weight management.

| Staff Development for Schools |
Keynote Presenters & Workshops
BWI has been providing keynote presenters, workshops and entire "Wellness Day" events for schools for many years. Highly educated BWI staff train and certify school personnel through continuing education opportunities, enhancing each employee's personal lifestyle skills and teaching capabilities as they pertain to their own health and well-being and that of their students.
Wellness Day Programs
Numerous programs are offered by BWI for staff development days, which touch on a range of wellness and health issues. The following are examples of available programs: beginning exercise principles, humor and health stress management, holistic cooking, fit fairs, back injury prevention, yoga, staff development seminars and workshops in addition to the popular and interactive "Health & Wellness Quiz Game Show" specifically designed for staff and faculty.
Team-Building for Staff Development
BWI also offers interactive, team-building programs that provide fun "edu-tainment" and learning activities for large groups. These programs are ideal for conferences and large staff development days. Conclude your conference or program with a BWI team-building event and everyone will leave happy at the end of the day!
